Do you still remember the password to your first email account? What is your QQ alias? What was the first PC Game you had ever played?
We will also be reflecting on the the need for digital citizenship and digital literacy etc. How's your ability to find, evaluate, and compose clear information through writing and other mediums on various digital platforms. Which platforms in your opinion are the most trustworthy ones?
Languages and Numbers are the two dominate symbol systems we created to communicate and keep a record of our experience of the world. Numbers are assigned to people even before they were born.
Amazingly, almost all the participants remembered their student numbers back to the kindergarten. It is also the case for the ID numbers. We also talked about the personal lucky number and the number preferences in different cultural contexts.
Then we moved on to discuss the first uses of email, QQ and other softwares as well as various electronic devices. It was a bit surprising that in fact QQ has a better function than that of WeChat and it is still very popular amongst youngsters. It seemed that many of us had Internet addiction and it took great effort to get rid of this habit.
Tony mentioned that 4G was available now on buses in Fuzhou.
